East-Meets-West Fine Dinning

Banyan Tree Macau is welcoming the Year of the Dragon with East-meets-West menus at European restaurant Belon and contemporary Thai restaurant Saffron.
 
From 20 – 29 January, Belon - Banyan Tree Macau’s signature restaurant, offers a fine dining alternative to traditional festive cuisine priced at MOP 1,988* for two (MOP 4,968* for six), featuring a five-course menu starting with a Seafood Platter of Boston lobster, Alaskan king crab, Tasmanian oysters, tiger prawns, tuna loin and abalone, served with porcini and crispy pumpkin.
 
Main courses are red grouper in black mussel sauce and USDA New York strip in truffle sauce, with a Valrhona chocolate chestnut dessert of chocolate cream, chestnut ice cream and meringue.
 
From 21 - 25 January, Banyan Tree Macau’s other signature restaurant, Saffron, is celebrating Chinese New Year with an expansive Siam-inspired evening buffet priced at MOP398*.
 
All-time favourites include traditional Tom Yum Goong (spicy prawn soup) and fish maw with crab, along with Thai salads ranging from jelly fish and grilled beef to tiger prawn, pork neck and shrimp with bell pepper in XO sauce.
 
Live cooking stations serve green papaya salad and grilled chicken skewers. Main courses range from peppered pork spare ribs and beef short rib curry to wok-fried tiger prawns, crispy soft shell crab, steamed chicken, Mandarin fish in sweet and sour sauce, lobster siew mai and Chinese-style scallop fried rice.
 
Elegant traditional banquets may also be arranged for corporate and family get-togethers at the 5-star resort’s Grand Ballroom with tables for 12 priced from MOP5,688-7,688* with a whole suckling pig.
 
To further enjoy Chinese New Year, between 21-27 January the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa is also offering a separate 3-hour ‘Winter Warmth’ spa package including Thai Chamanard Body Scrub, followed by a Warm Body Massage and Cleansing Facial. Priced at MOP2,800**, the Winter Warmth package also includes a (lunch or dinner) menu from Banyan Tree Macau’s Thai restaurant, Saffron.
