A Myriad of Flavours at Duetto

It’s not bad to start the year with a little bit of indulgence, especially if it’s one to do with flavours.  From January 10 – February 10, Duetto invites you to dine with them as they offer a whole spectrum of taste and textures in an 8-course Tasting Menu for Two ($518).

Not long after you agree to take the course, the Air Dried Beef Roll arrives.  In a few bites, you get just enough saltiness on your taste buds to prep them for the dishes to come.   A mild start yes, but as soon as the Peri-Peri Prawns make its way to your mouth, these flavour-packed morsels will send your tongue tingling with its spicy marinade.  If the last dish had you flushing red, then a shot of creamy Mushroom Espresso is just what you need to extinguish that fire.  Next we have an all-time restaurant classic.  Fresh and light, our Caesar Salad gives your palate a timely wash before overdosing it on mouth-watering Tandoori Salmon Tikka.

Five dishes after, we finally reach the much-awaited main course.  One can opt for the subtle flavours of herbs found in Linguine with Clams or be adventurous with a choice of Chicken Saffron Korma excellently matched with freshly-baked garlic naan.   Moving on to round two, allow our Indian kitchen to enthral you in a satiating Lamb Dum Biryani.  Enjoy cuts of lamb complemented by a spectacle of spices bursting from each grain of rice.  Its Italian twin, on the other hand, offers a luxurious Sirloin Steak.   Imagine all that natural flavour oozing from a slab of juicy beef; combining with a perfect blend of black truffle butter and Barolo red wine in that split-second when your fork pierces your prime piece of meat.

Left with one, we do hope you still have room for dessert.  As each kitchen prepares a dangerously alluring ender, only you can decide which among the two is truly divine.  Will it be the melt-in-your-mouth Tiramisu or the insanely fragrant Flambéed Gulab Jamun?
