Celebration of Chocolate Hayman

Hayman will be on everyone’s lips in April 2012 as the acclaimed private island destination in the Great Barrier Reef celebrates the world of chocolate with fun-filled Easter events and an appearance by the Easter Bunny.
A special guest on Hayman during April will be the Callebaut Ambassador for Australia, Kirsten Tibballs, who is renowned as one of the finest chocolatiers and pastry chefs in Australia and director of the acclaimed Savour Chocolate and Patisserie School in Melbourne.
The name Callebaut has been written in chocolate for more than 100 years, with Kirsten set to introduce a selection of the chocolaterie’s decadent creations to Hayman during April’s Celebration of Chocolate. Events hosted by Kirsten will include Callebaut Chocolate Master Classes and Callebaut Chocolate Appreciation Sessions.
Hayman’s signature dish for April will be the Hayman Chocolate Salad – a combination of four Callebaut chocolates and six textures with berries, dressed with lavender and native lime – available each evening in all dining venues and priced at AUD23 per person.
A Tiffin High Tea, priced at AUD90 per couple, will be presented at 3.00pm each day in the Club Lounge and include a glass of NV Moet & Chandon Champagne on arrival, as well as a three-tiered presentation of Callebaut chocolate delicacies, scones and savoury dishes.
The Easter Bunny will arrive on Easter Sunday at 9.30am, to be followed by an Easter Egg Hunt. A Chocolate Junior MasterChef will also give children the chance to test their skills and let their imaginations run wild as they create the next best thing in chocolate. This unique treat is part of the Hayman Kids Club Ranger Program, which offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities for the resort’s young guests.
Hayman Escape packages are priced from AUD932 per person twin share, including 4 nights’ accommodation and daily beachfront breakfast.
