Pre Fall explores the themes of impression and relief, folding and layers. Sheer and opaque are combined to reveal and conceal, and over layered to add fluidity and movement to tailoring. Graphic prints are veiled under transparencies where darts and seam lines become decorative features.Neo noir comic books lend a punchy graphic element as bold jacquard and appliqué work and a decorative maze of sequin embroidery is inspired by comic strip layouts.
The saturated colours of an old comic book inform the palette- rich ochre and russet mix with inky navy and shadowy black. These richly saturated colours are cooled down with neutral taupe and ash and crispened by winter white.
A preempt to Fall - clean, linear shapes form the basis of the silhouette paired with a rounded volume at the shoulder. The silhouette is further deconstructed with tromp l’oeil garments that play with the idea of layering. Utility lacing and notch details draw focus to the waist. As a natural evolution from Spring, fabrics are draped into soft folds creating new necklines and elegantly fluid shapes.
A modern approach to layered dressing -easy, chic garments form the foundations of a trans seasonal wardrobe. Structure strikes a balance with fluidity juxtaposing raw cut moulded leather and compact PU coated outerwear with lightweight cashmere jerseys and fluid jewel toned silks. The silhouette is mapped through mixed fabrications and texture-- pintucked chiffon is engineered over liquid sequin and crisp poplins are sculpted through utility lacing.
