ASIA’S 50 BEST BARS 2023 LIST REVEALED AT ROSEWOOD HONG KONG

This evening, the list for Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 was revealed at Rosewood Hong Kong, marking the event’s first live awards ceremony and full-scale gathering of the bar community since 2019. The Forks & Spoons is proud to introduce, from its portfolio of clients, the bars and industry leaders that were selected for awards and recognized on the world stage during this momentous occasion.

DarkSide at Rosewood Hong Kong first debuted on Asia’s 50 Best Bars in 2021, and today celebrates its third annual placement at #9 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023, a rise from its #13 position in 2022. Darkside, Rosewood Hong Kong’s sophisticated cocktail parlour with sultry live jazz, boasts an award-winning cocktail list that pays homage to Kowloon’s “Dark Side”. Curated by Director of Bars, Simone Rossi together with Bar Manager KT Lam, the menu is a celebration of rare aged spirits and classic, time-honoured cocktails updated with innovative techniques.

Named after the breakthrough group of antibiotics that heralded an age of medical revolution, PENICILLIN bar similarly brings a revolutionary take on sustainability in today’s waste-heavy world of cocktail creation. The ultimate peer-voted accolade in the continent’s bar scene, the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award winner is voted for by the bartenders of establishments that have been placed on the 2023 list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars.
