To launch her Spring/Summer 2024 collection, Swarovski Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert has imagined a new brand campaign inspired by the iconography of Venus.
The campaign, which stars top models Irina Shayk, Fei Fei Sun, Imaan Hammam, Karlie Kloss, and Abby Champion, reimagines Venus as a collection of bejeweled modern muses, each representing facets of contemporary womanhood, from strength and empowerment to creativity, grace, and elegance. Adorned with treasures from a Spring/Summer 2024 collection inspired by the underwater universe, each muse becomes a bold and joyfully extravagant archetype.
Captured by the lens of fashion photographer Steven Meisel and transformed by the artistry of hairstylist Guido Palau and makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath, the stellar cast of models are captivating and unapologetically glamorous Venuses of self-expression.
The campaign coincides with the launch of a collection that takes its cues from the myriad forms of the aquatic world and the underwater gardens that are home to its extraordinary flora and fauna, such as such as shells, corals, seahorses, starfish, and anemones. An evolution of the Mathemagical Garden that inspired previous collections, Spring/Summer 2024 dives into an Underwater Garden filled with treasures that embellish the aquatic world with their forms and captivating colors, much like jewels adorn those who wear them.
Swarovski’s savoir-faire is infused throughout the collection, which uses the magic of light-catching crystals and pearls to capture the motion and motifs of the sea. Crafted with a wide range of fine and high jewelry techniques and expressed through fluid shapes and vibrant colors, it explores new territories of figurative expression, further evolving Engelbert’s bold and joyful new language of luxury for the 129-year-old crystal House.
Signature families such as Hyperbola, Idyllia, and Millenia continue to develop and evolve, and are joined by the fluid lines, ultra-futuristic shapes and haute-joaillerie techniques of Sublima as well as dazzling Eyewear styles for the new season.
