Mulan Design Week 2024

The much-anticipated design fair held annually in Milan unites the most innovative and ambitious talents working in design. This year, Hublot Ambassador Samuel Ross, Friend of the Brand MA Yansong and winner of the 2022 Hublot Design Prize Nifemi Marcus-Bello were all present at the fair. Ever dedicated to art and design, the Swiss luxury watchmaker   is honoured to partner with these unique and talented designers and artists.

The Salone di Mobile, held annually in Milan since 1961, brings together the most innovative and pioneering designers, artists and architects in their respective disciplines. This year, Hublot’s Ambassadors and Friends of the Brand were present to showcase their work at the Milan Design Week.

Ever since the first edition of the Hublot Design Prize in 2015, Hublot has been committed to celebrating emerging talents of design. A project that was first driven by Pierre Keller, former director of ECAL, the prize is awarded every year to a young designer. The Hublot Design Prize was awarded to Samuel Ross in 2019. Samuel Ross would then become an Hublot Ambassador in 2020 and designed two limited edition watches, the Big Bang Tourbillon Samuel Ross and Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A By Samuel Ross.

Nifemi Marcus-Bello was announced as the winner during a reception at the gallery in London’s Kensington Gardens in 2022. The industrial designer is known for his community-led, ethnographic-conscious design approach that pursues new forms and typologies.

Earlier this year, Hublot announced the visionary architect MA Yansong as it’s new Friend of the Brand. MA has garnered admiration through his masterfully crafted, spatiotemporal, sculptural forms disappearing into the city and landscape; forms that are driven by intuition, expression, and emotion.
