Re-opening with great fanfare earlier this year, Jimmy’s Kitchen, a beloved Hong Kong icon led by Epicurean Group, is now a contemporary icon in the heart of Central at Pedder Building with its classic British-inspired continental fare that references the restaurant’s storied past. To extend its unpretentious menu of flavour-forward dishes, Jimmy’s Kitchen introduces a new bar menu of elevated bar snacks along with a daily Happy Hour.
The new Happy Hour is available at the Cocktail Bar, a convivial drinking spot nestled within the front dining room, perfect for unwinding and relaxing from long afternoons to late evenings. The Bar Menu is a condensed collection of Jimmy’s Kitchen’s signature dishes, prepared by Executive Chef Russell Doctrove.
Find a familiar list of bar snacks, designed for easy, all-day nibbling including: Homemade Cornbread (HK$48) with velvety French salted butter and House-Cured Salmon Gravlax (HK$168) cured for two days, followed by the deliciously irresistible Crispy Pork Crackling (HK$88) sprinkled with homemade sage salt seasoning, and Prawn Cocktail (HK$178), an all-time classic. For the perfect savoury pairing to go with cocktails, try the exquisite Alijomar Iberico Ham (HK$258) aged for 48 months to develop an incredibly layered profile. The Crispy Coronation Fried Chicken (HK$148) is a bite-sized twist on a British staple that will satiate any cravings with deep-fried curry-marinated chicken thighs accompanied by mango chutney mayo, almond praline, and apricot jam.
Jimmy’s Kitchen launches Happy Hour between 4pm to 7pm daily, set to be a glamorous, intimate new spot to drink in the heart of the bustling city. While the drinks menu covers a generous selection of wines, Champagnes, whiskies, and more, stop by for a sip of the special Cocktail of the Day, an off-menu, made-to-order beverage shaken to the mixologist’s own creative invention for the happy surprise of visiting guests.
