Coffeelin Arrives to the Heart of Central with Authentic Milanese Coffee Culture

On the heels of its fourth opening in Fortress Hill earlier this January, homegrown cafe chain Coffeelin introduces its latest location at Central’s LHT Tower, right in the heart of Queen’s Road Central. This marks Coffeelin’s fifth opening since its first cafe in Sai Ying Pun in 2018, delighting the city’s coffee enthusiasts with a new spot of true Italian-style coffee downtown.

A refreshing addition to Hong Kong’s cafe scene, Coffeelin Central continues founder Lucas Sam’s vision of bringing Milan’s lively, laid-back cafes to the city, inspired by his own love for the Italian capital. With genuine hospitality and a passionate dedication to quality, Coffeelin represents the best of Italian coffee culture where guests are invited into a warm, convivial atmosphere from the moment they step within the doors.

“The new Central location doesn’t just offer guests a convenient cafe in the heart of the city, it is also a place where they can stop by to enjoy Italian comfort cooking and authentic Italian coffee. We wanted to create a comfortable space that allows guests to escape from a bustling city pace to reset and recharge at any time of the day.” says Lucas Sam.

Designed by acclaimed architect and interior designer JJ Acuna, the venue is a much-welcomed respite from the busy city just below, especially for the surrounding Central workforce, and features innovative design motifs of 20th-century Milan. Coffeelin Central continues the overarching narrative of the Happy Valley flagship and spotlights Milan’s cultural landscape with a reinterpretation of a late nonna’s quaint osteria. Rustic taverna details decorate the space with textured wall finishes and earthy terracotta tiles, accented by vibrant ceiling murals and oak furnishings that add to the neighbourly charm of Italy’s trattorias.

To invigorate everyday routines, the new Central venue will also serve a menu of delectable Italian-inspired serves. Start mornings afresh with Avocado and Poached Eggs on Sourdough Bruschetta or Provola Cheese and Italian Cooked Ham Croissant, along with a selection of homemade pastries baked fresh daily.

Lunchtime options lean towards generous mains of homemade pasta with Tagliatelle with Beef Ragu and Seafood Spaghetti with Butter, Anchovies Sauce, Prawns and Squid, or hearty serves of Milanese Risotto with Roasted Italian Pork Sausage and Roasted Salmon with Quinoa and Spicy Tomato Sauce. The all-day menu also features light snacks with Ricotta and Anchovies Toast or Potato and Mozzarella Croquettes available throughout the afternoon, served with an indulgent dessert menu to satiate sweet cravings, with the Griso Coffee Tiramisu set to be a crowd-favourite highlight.
