On Saturday, 12 October, The Standard’s music division presents the smooth, soulful sounds of T-Bone – Thailand’s beloved reggae/ska ensemble. The afternoon kicks off at 3:30 pm with poolside beats by everyone’s favorite DJ Deejai, followed by a live session from T-Bone from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Guests can expect the perfect mix of sun, sounds and sips paired with stunning beachfront views.
Ice Ice Beach x Vedana
Sunday, 13 October, will see the launch of the inaugural wellness activities – Ice, Ice, Beach in collaboration with Vedana, a creative community of natural practitioners. From 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm, weary urbanites will gather at the resort’s leafy courtyard for an afternoon of transformative practices for the mind, body and soul. Each ticket includes access to Cacao Ceremony to promote genuine connections with oneself and others; guided breathwork to reduce stress, boost vitality and improve mental clarity; ice bath and sound healing workshop for better circulation and reduced inflammation; and yoga.
Frights and Bites
The end of the month brings with it the nightmarishly fun Not Your Standard Bingo: Halloween Editions. Taking place at Lido on 24 October, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, the night featuring a special spooky menu promises to chill unsuspecting bingo players to the bone.
A week later, on 1 November, the Day of the Dead: Beach Party is inviting everyone to hit the ghost town with Latin, Afro, deep house and techno rhythms as the resort celebrates Mexico’s Día de los Muertos. An optional face painting session (THB 1,000 per person), tacos and tequila, guests flow on the beachfront lawn to the beats of DJs Bonita Everitt, Celeste Siam, Rujaya and Deejai. Guests are welcome to drop in anytime between 5:00 pm and 11:00 pm.
