Singapore’s Common Man Coffee Roasters Brewing Soon at K11 Art Mall, Hong Kong

Common Man Coffee Roasters [CMCR], the renowned Singapore-based all-day dining and coffee specialist, is set to bring their exceptional coffee, dining, and retail experience to Hong Kong. The highly anticipated opening at the prestigious K11 Art Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui is scheduled for mid-October 2024.

Since 2013, CMCR has been proudly championing specialty coffee and has come to be known for its sumptuous all-day menu with an elevated twist. Born from a desire to make quality coffee and the knowledge surrounding it more accessible, CMCR believes that great coffee should not be a privilege, but available for all to enjoy. CMCR raises the bar by serving a menu of quality dishes that promises to be on par with its top-notch coffee.

CMCR offers gastronomic adventure as well as a sanctuary for coffee aficionados. Having already elevated the cafe scene in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines through specialty coffee, delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and creative design, the popular brand now brings this truly unparalleled experience to Hong Kongers and visitors alike.

The Barista Bar
At K11 Art Mall, an impressive green marble barista bar invites guests for an up close and personal brewing experience whilst a retail space will sell delicious, ethical coffee, roasted in Singapore and flown in weekly for optimal freshness.

Over the past 10 years, CMCR has focused on sourcing specialty grade green beans, forged through trusted relationships across premium coffee-producing regions. Roasted with respect at their dedicated Singapore roastery, CMCR offers a varied collection of signature specialty coffee blends created by in-house coffee experts, as well as a collection of unique Single Origin beans.

The beans are artfully brewed using various methods, including espresso pulls, cold brew and filter brewing techniques by its skilled baristas, trained by the CMCR Barista Academy. Classic hot offerings include the Flat White (HK$40), Long Black (HK$35) and Mocha (HK$45). For Filter Coffee (from HK$55), experience a selection of various Single Origins that offer a variety of distinctive taste profiles from the brand’s seasonal rotations.

All-Day Dining
The new store, designed by LAANK, will also boast an inviting all-day dining room, making it an ideal destination for coffee, breakfast, brunch, dinner and more.

CMCR serves up sumptuous, elevated all-day dining plates like the Common Man Full Breakfast (HK$165) of two eggs in any style with bacon, pork sausage, herbed Roma tomato, hashbrown, portobello mushroom and chorizo baked beans served with sourdough or wholemeal toast. Another popular item is the Turkish Common Man Breakfast (HK$135) — a phyllo wrapped soft boiled egg, crispy feta, green hummus, fresh cucumber, pomegranate, fresh herbs, honey and pita bread. The Smash Burger (HK$145) features crispy yet juicy smashed beef patties, brioche bun, beetroot barbeque sauce, cheddar cheese, onion jam and served with paprika-herbed fries.

Hong Kong Limited Editions
Specially created limited edition items for Hong Kong diners include the Singapore-inspired King Prawn Laksa Mac & Cheese (HK$150) featuring a decadent creamy bechamel sauce infused with the signature aromatics of laska, and Spicy Beef Angel Hair Pasta (HK$140) in which al dente noodles coated with a spicy caramalised minced beef sauce are topped with a creamy sous vide egg.

Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy a curated selection of Viennoiserie items created by trendy Singapore-based Tiong Bahru Bakery, the “home of hand-made croissants”. Aside from their beloved croissants and Kougin Amann, Hong Kong limited special editions includes a Salted Egg Yolk Cruffin (HK$35). This unique creation combines the buttery, flaky perfection of a contemporary cruffin with the rich, sweet-savoury flavor of beloved yum cha favourite, salted egg yolk, bringing a distinctly Hong Kong twist to a beloved sweet treat.

Beyond Coffee
Although best known for its exceptional coffee offering, those looking for a boozier fix can explore a curated selection of natural, low-intervention wines and select pours from Hong Kong’s own Young Masters Brewery. Guests can look forward to a dedicated dinner menu launching before the end of the year.

CMCR’s’ Hong Kong launch is set to further establish the brand’s presence in the region and continue its legacy of providing honest, wholesome, and approachable coffee and dining experiences.

Common Man Coffee Roasters at K11 Art Mall will be open from 8am until 8pm daily.
