DIOR D-Sketch sneakers from the Spring Summer 2025 Collection

Unveiled at the Dior spring-summer 2025 ready-to-wear show, the D-Sketch sneakers testify to the virtuoso skills of the Ateliers, from the original design to the application of their delicate finishes. Dreamed up by Maria Grazia Chiuri in a “work in progress” spirit, these unique shoes feature pencil marks, sketched during their conception; singular motifs that are thereafter painstakingly reproduced by hand and screen-printed to adjust their dimensions to perfection. The meticulous assembly of the model follows, starting with the structural elements in white nylon and then the beige suede insets, daring all kinds of contrasts.

A tribute to the art of detail so dear to Monsieur Dior, the name “Christian Dior” is inscribed on the sides in handwritten script, producing a prototype allure. To accentuate this bold effect, the topstitching is not always parallel: a subtle asymmetry obtained by the precision of the artisans. The perforated leather provides infinite lightness, while a padded interior brings extra comfort.

Between elegance and retro inspiration, these creations are enhanced by a fine sole borrowed from the world of sport. As ultimate punctuations, two other “Christian Dior Paris” signatures – one of which has been transformed into an ultra-contemporary version – adorn the tongue and back of these objects of desire.
