The concept: radical simplicity — just fragrance, aldehydes, upcycled alcohol*, and water — achieving pure, heightened olfactory expression.

COLLECTION INSPIRATION
“Your invisible self” — the collection captures the intimate yet powerful presence of scent. It reflects Jil Sander’s design philosophy: attention to hidden details, balance between masculine and feminine, nature and technology. Fragrance becomes a point of intuitive connection, evoking memory, place, and self-perception.

OLFACTORY SIGNATURE
Guided by Creative Directors Lucie and Luke Meier and created by five renowned perfumers, each fragrance is characterized by the radical use of aldehydes. These “sparks of light” amplify natural ingredients, producing vertical, clear compositions where simplicity masks deep complexity. As formulas contain only alcohol, water, and fragrance, they may change color over time without affecting quality.

A vivid green cloud: Black Krim Tomato, Key Lime, Cardamom, Cornmint, sharpened by aldehydes into a bright, zesty energy.

Jil Sander Miel (Mathilde Bijaoui)
Woody and magnetic: Cedarwood, Vetiver, Jasmine, and dark Buckwheat Honey, uplifted by aldehydes into radiant florals.

Jil Sander Black Tea (Nathalie Lorson)
An ambery, spicy journey: Osmanthus, upcycled Cinnamon, and smoky Black Tea, infused with deep, travelling warmth.

Jil Sander Earth (Julie Massé)
After-rain earthiness: Roses from Grasse and Damascus, Patchouli, and Matsutake mushroom tones, made hyper-real by aldehydes.

Jil Sander Coffea (Paul Guerlain)
Floral-ambery complexity: Coffee bean, Orris, and Peru Balsam intertwine in a vibrant, textured composition of contrasts.

Jil Sander Smoke (Berenice Watteau)
Smoky and bright: Cedarwood, Cade, and Elemi, with clean aldehydic strokes, fresh laundry notes, and an enigmatic oud facet.

DESIGN

Collaborating with Formafantasma, Jil Sander reimagined glassmaking. Each bottle, crafted through artisanal experimentation with industrial methods, features an organic, imperfect shape — echoing the individuality of each wearer.
