A Groundbreaking Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition at Hong Kong’s Harbourfront

UPWARD – HUANG YULONG
March 12–20 & 24–31, 2025 | Hong Kong Observation Wheel & AIA Vitality Park

Over 20 giant sculptures by acclaimed Chinese artist Huang Yulong will take over the Central Harbourfront this March during Art Month, creating a powerful, uplifting exhibition titled UPWARD.

Inspired by street culture and youth expression, Huang’s signature hooded figures, each in unique poses, gaze toward the sky in a message of hope, community, and optimism. The exhibition is free and open to the public, with opportunities for private and corporate bookings.

Known for his East-meets-West style, Huang has exhibited globally, including in Paris and at Art Basel Hong Kong. His past works include a 2023 collaboration with Andy Lau and a recent sculpture, Be My Side L, now on permanent display at the Hong Kong Observation Wheel.

In partnership with Ora-Ora and the Great Entertainment Group (GEG), this show transforms the city’s most iconic waterfront space into a must-visit art destination.

Special Events:
The exhibition will also host Magic Room’s biggest event yet – a one-night celebration of music, art, and culture featuring international DJs Bedouin, Nandu, and Hong Kong’s Nodes Crew.

“Huang Yulong brings positivity and an uplifting mood wherever he goes,”
Henrietta Tsui-Leung, CEO of Ora-Ora

“This is a pioneering collaboration during Art Month and the Hong Kong Sevens—celebrating community through art.”
Michael Denmark, Executive Chairman of GEG
