Anne Hathaway wore a custom Atelier Versace gown combining signatures of both Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel and Versace, referencing Karl and Donatella’s shared design elegance, sensuality, and sense of fun.
The figure-hugging and slashed gown references Versace silhouettes of the 1990s Supermodel era, while a construction of gold thread French tweed,
featuring degradé embroidered ton-sur-ton paillette, and Swarovski crystal, recalls Lagerfeld’s time at the House of Chanel.
Chanel Camellia flowers decorate the bust. Embellishments include custom-made Medusa Safety Pins with pearls, and Medusa emblems.
The pearl white color palette is in reference to bridal gowns of both Chanel and Versace.
The design took the Atelier over 450 hours of handcraft and 15 meters of fabric to complete.
The gown was completed with matching tweed motorcycle jacket, long gloves and white satin Aevitas Pointy Platform.
