Olivier Polge, CHANEL In-House Perfumer-Creator, who reinvited N°5 in 2016, was inspired by audacity and freedom, and by mastering the raw materials, he created a new balance: an ideal of freshness named N°5 L’EAU with a vibrant and fresh abstract floral fragrance. A scent that radiates citrus and aldehydes. A whirlwind of flowers, carried away by vetiver, cedar and notes of soft musk.
In 2024, N°5 L’EAU with a new limited-edition bottle. For the first time in the history of the House, N°5 L’EAU leaves its historical bottle to take on a new addictive shape and become an object of desire. Rounded and ethereal in shape and structure, this collector’s bottle is a promise of life. It is small, oval and transparent, resembling a pebble. Or a shaft of light caught in striking simplicity.
Did you know that L’EAU is translated as water in French? It is a fluid, a vigorous drop that goes against the flow yet housing every emotion.
