Exotic New Middle-Eastern Restaurant and Lounge Bushra

Bushra has assembled a culinary team led by three talented chefs with great experience of the region’s cuisine: Morocco born El Mehdi Zenasni, Egyptian Sakr Tamer and Najib Farkhoury from Lebanon, who for 22 years worked in the kitchens of the famous Beirut restaurants in Lan Kwai Fong, later Wanchai, and now returns to Hong Kong for this project.

The three have combined their skills to present a tantalizing menu of popular dishes from their homelands, including popular Middle Eastern favourites alongside some authentic dishes from the region which are rarely if ever seen in Hong Kong.

Bushra also features a unique list of Middle Eastern inspired cocktails created by celebrity mixologist Sandeep Kumar, owner of The Wise King, one of Asia’s 50 Best Bars.

Bushra occupies a striking two-level space and has been designed by award-winning Hong Kong firm MAG design as a place to party. It features a glittering gold colour scheme, bold curved shapes and traditional Indian wooden Mughal gates – like a scene from Arabian Nights with a touch of Bollywood Bling.

A large restaurant and theatrical curved bar downstairs is connected to a “secret garden” and shisha terrace, which in turn leads through a narrow staircase to the second dining room and VIP terrace upstairs. The upstairs terrace holds the most sought-after tables, where reservations require a minimum spend of HK$1,000 per person.

In-house and guest DJs most nights will also ensure a lively upbeat lounge vibe reminiscent of nightclubs in Beirut, which is renowned as the best party city in the Middle East. These will also be complemented by traditional belly dance performances.
