Sheung Wan’s Nordic cafe Hjem is ready to welcome springtime with their new God Påske! Easter Afternoon Tea set for two, available throughout 4 to 16 April from 3–6pm. Commemorating one of Norway’s most celebrated holidays, this rendition of the Nordic cafe’s popular afternoon tea set looks to wow with sweet Easter-inspired treats.
The afternoon tea set’s top tier comprises a savory selection of Arctic Prawns and Beetroot & Apple Herring smørrebrød – two very traditional varieties to stay true to its Nordic ways. The assortment of sweet delights in the middle tier includes Orange Chocolate Madeleines in an ode to springtime flavors, soft Lingonberry Butter Cookies, and the classic Hjem signature Cinnamon & Cardamom Bun. The final tier consisting of cozy bakes includes a homey and comforting Carrot Cake, a light and delicate Mandarin Yolk Panna Cotta, and a traditional Norwegian Waffle.
An Easter exclusive, the Brightside is the seasonal mocktail on offer – a decadent concoction made with fresh orange juice, mango, lingonberry jam, and topped with honey & milk foam that is guaranteed to be a mood-lifter. Those after something boozy can instead opt for the Berry Sour – another Easter special that combines lingonberry-infused vodka, absinthe, lingonberry syrup, fresh lemon juice and egg white for just the right amount of tartness to those sweet sips.
Starting at HK$528 per pair, the afternoon tea set includes one tea of choice and a Brightside each. At HK$588 per pair, guests can enjoy a hot beverage of their choice along with a glass of Moscato each.
In celebrating what is one of the most festive holidays in Norway, guests are invited to keep an eye out for hidden Easter eggs inside the cafe throughout this period. Found Easter eggs can be exchanged for some additional sweet treats and bakes available on the day. What looks to be an enticing offer for everyone including for those looking for some family-friendly fun, Hjem is set to spread the Easter cheer and welcome the sunny times ahead with another special edition afternoon tea.
Hjem will also be exceptionally open on Easter Monday 10 April, 8am–6pm, for extended festive fun.
