Immersive Dining & Movement Experience at Eaton HK

Eaton HK Presents Young Boy Dancing Group: A No-Holds-Barred Experiential Dining Performance & Workshop

Get ready for an avant-garde experience that blurs the lines between art, intimacy and rebellion. Eaton HK is unleashing Young Boy Dancing Group (YBDG), the viral performance collective that thrives on pushing boundaries, shattering taboos, and immersing audiences in raw, unfiltered movement. The ground-breaking performance group will make Eaton HK a major stop on their Asian tour, supported by Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council and the City of Zurich.

This spring, YBDG joins forces with Sapphire Ketchup – the enigmatic alter ego of Alison Tan, a multidisciplinary food designer in Hong Kong’s food pop-up scene – to transform Eaton HK with a multi-sensory dinner experience unlike anything the city has seen. Expect an uninhibited collision of dance, food, and physicality, where sensuality meets absurdity, transforming the act of eating into something primal, electrifying, and unpredictable. Alongside this unorthodox spectacle, Eaton HK will also host an immersive movement workshop, inviting participants to explore dance as a means of collective expression and raw emotion.

A Sensory Dining Performance Like No Others

Eaton HK’s Tomorrow Maybe gallery will set the stage for an interactive four-course dining experience with a menu created by Sapphire Ketchup. Priced at HK$700-800 per person*, the meal is paired with a cocktail and wine, designed to heighten the senses, all while challenging conventional notions of dining. Amid candlelit tables, YBDG will weave through the space, blurring the lines between performer and spectator in a provocative interplay of movement and presence.

Diners will be invited to lick, drip, and ignite, engaging in acts that turn the rituals of eating into a sensory performance. Every motion, whether tracing the curve of an unfamiliar utensil with their tongue or dripping molten textures onto platters, blurs the boundaries between gratification and temptation. More than just a meal, it’s an intoxicating descent into the unknown.

Movement Workshop: Embrace Vulnerability Through Dance

Ahead of the dining performances, YBDG will lead a movement workshop in Eaton HK’s Music Room, fostering a visceral journey into physical storytelling and group synergy. Through somatic choreography, participants will experience dance as a powerful form of self-expression and shared physicality. Famed for their evocative performances, YBDG strips movement down to its purest, most unrestrained form.
