This latest expression of Bird on a Pearl is an ode to the designer’s love of nature that uplifts spectacular naturalistic motifs that have been a source of wonder at Tiffany & Co. for nearly two centuries. Expressed through a gradient color palette within each pearl that evokes the four seasons, the themes of sweetheart ivy leaves, acorns, wings and oak leaves takes on new meaning when recontextualized with the exceedingly rare pearls. These natural saltwater pearls are composed of a nuanced and subtle color palette, each unique in the abstraction of their features and forms.
“With the richness of their hues, the pearls chosen for this majestic collection transcribe the four seasons through a colorful and luminescent palette,”
said Nathalie Verdeille, Chief Artistic Officer, Jewelry and High Jewelry, Tiffany & Co.
“There are warm browns and powder pinks, golden yellows and whites that allowed us to define each theme as a season, re-envisioning the nature of Jean Schlumberger’s masterworks.”
