New Thai Restaurant Yaowarat Brings Authentic Flavours to Hollywood Road This March

Get ready for a flavour-packed journey to Thailand as Yaowarat, a vibrant new Thai restaurant, opens its doors on Hollywood Road this March. Named after the notorious food street in Bangkok’s buzzing Chinatown, Yaowarat brings beloved Thai classics alongside craft beer and cocktails to Hong Kong’s central business district, offering diners jaw-dropping Siamese flavours at an unbeatable price.

Yaowarat offers more than just a meal to its guests. With a rock and roll soundtrack and electric energy, this lively 30-seater Thai eatery is set to become the go-to spot for both food enthusiasts and locals seeking a spirited dining atmosphere.

Signature dishes at Yaowarat include the perfectly charred Beef Premium Skewers (HK$148) paired with a spicy tamarind sauce that packs a punch and perfectly complements the smokiness of the beef. Another standout plate is the Whole Shrimp Cake (HK$128), an elevated appetiser featuring a whole prawn encased in minced prawn meat and deep-fried to perfection, paying homage to the classic Cantonese stuffed crab claw.

Pad Thai 泰式炒河粉

The menu also boasts a number of Southern Thai dishes like the golden Hat Yai Fried Chicken (HK$148). This Thai favourite, hailing from near the Malaysian border, features a mouthwatering heap of juicy yellow chicken marinated in turmeric and spices that is served with deep-fried shallots and is best enjoyed the authentic way – with your hands and a steaming basket of Thai sticky rice. Two other standout dishes are the Seafood Fried Rice (HK$138), brimming with tender squid, prawns, and rich chunks of crab, and an impossibly tender and aromatic Massaman Pork Cheek Curry (HK$148).

To round off the meal, Yaowarat’s dessert selection includes Mango Sticky Rice (HK$108) and the refreshing Water Chestnut with Coconut Milk (HK$88), offering a sweet, tropical end to the dining experience.

Affordability meets excellence at Yaowarat, with lunch offerings priced under HK$200, making it a top choice for office workers looking for a quick yet satisfying midday break. The Lunch Set (starting from HK$98) includes a Thai soup of the day and a choice of Thai favourites such as Pad Thai, Green Curry with Chicken and Rice, Shrimp with Vermicelli and more.

Yaowarat’s signature cocktails, all priced at HK$98, are crafted to complement the bold, spicy, and smoky flavours of its menu. The Thai Collins offers a refreshing Thai twist on a classic, blending gin with zesty lime and aromatic lemongrass for a crisp, invigorating sip. For a more herbaceous kick, the Kaffir Me combines smooth rum with fragrant kaffir lime, a touch of sugar, and a squeeze of fresh lime, creating a bright and balanced cocktail. Meanwhile, the 108C turns up the heat with a bold mix of vodka, rich tomato juice, and a Thai spice blend that captures the fiery essence of Thai cuisine.

Beyond these signature creations, Yaowarat also offers an array of classic cocktails, alongside a carefully curated selection of white and red wines, sparkling wines, and bubbles. Guests can also cool down with classic Thai Tea, fresh coconut water, or a craft on draft, ensuring the perfect pairing for every meal.

Yaowarat is set to become a culinary landmark on Hollywood Road, bringing the heart of Thai food culture to the vibrant streets of Hong Kong. Whether it’s lunch, dinner, a bar snack or a late-night treat, Yaowarat is open from midday until midnight, ready to welcome diners in search of a social hangout and unmissable food.
