Roger Vivier is delighted to announce the appointment of award-winning Chinese actress Xin Zhilei as the Maison’s latest brand ambassador. This collaboration will celebrate some of the brand’s most iconic creations.
The appointment of Xin Zhilei will deepen and broaden the Maison’s enduring connection with the world of international cinema. Indeed, even though the actress perfectly captures the essence of timeless elegance and feminine charm carrying the Viv’ Choc bag in Belle Vivier heels, it is her impressive cinematic body of work that has made her an ambassador of choice for the Maison.
A graduate of the acclaimed Central Academy of Drama, Xin Zhilei gained widespread recognition in 2016 with her breakthrough role in Crosscurrent. Directed by Yang Chao, the film was the only Asian entry in the main competition of the 66th Berlin International Film Festival. Over the years, the Golden Goblet award-winning actress has starred in both box-office hits and critically acclaimed masterpieces, including Brotherhood of Blades, Gentlemen, and Schemes In Antiques. Most recently, she has captivated audiences as Li Li, the female protagonist of Blossoms Shanghai, the most popular drama of 2024, directed by the renowned Wong Kar-wai (Ashes of Time, In the Mood for Love).
Roger Vivier has a long-standing history of engaging with stars of the silver screen to interpret the brand’s creative works, often elevating its designs to legendary status through cinematic expression and visual performance.
