The Iconic Limited-Edition Palettes from Hourglass Cosmetics Return for Holiday 2024

Unlock Change for Animal Rights with Two New Designs by Katie Scott, Featuring New Ambient Lighting Powders

Vegan and cruelty-free luxury beauty brand, Hourglass Cosmetics, unveils this season’s highly anticipated Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked palettes, featuring two new designs by London-based artist, Katie Scott. Embodying symbols of good fortune, this marks the third limited-edition collection with Scott to support the brand’s partnership with the Nonhuman Rights Project (NhRP) to secure fundamental rights for animals.

This season’s palettes feature a curated edit of Hourglass’ signature Ambient Lighting Powders that create a mystical, multidimensional glow. The collection of new and bestselling shades are housed in this year’s prosperity-inspired designs, comprised of The Dragon, and The Evil Eye. For the first time, each palette includes five brand new essential shades to create a glowing complexion in one sleek palette – finishing powder, blush, bronzer, and highlighter.

BEHIND THE EXCLUSIVE DESIGN

Hourglass has partnered with illustrator Katie Scott once again to create artwork for the new Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked collection. Known for her hand-drawn fine line work and digital water coloring, Scott’s 2024 collection captures two emblems of good luck.

On the third collaboration, Scott commented, “This year, the illustrations were designed to infuse positivity into your makeup ritual, unlocking luck, abundance and protection every day. I took inspiration for two designs from ancient myths to tell the story of each symbol and what they represent. The Dragon epitomizes power and good fortune, and The Evil Eye is a universal metaphor for being perceptive and mindful of the energies around you to embrace positivity and bring good luck.”

THE UNLOCKED MISSON

Since 2017, the Unlocked Collection has supported the Nonhuman Rights Project’s mission of unlocking the cages of wild animals around the world. From the first elephant rights lawsuits in New York, California and Colorado, to securing animal’s legal rights for the first time in Pakistan and Argentina, NhRP’s work has had monumental legal breakthroughs to support animal welfare.

Hourglass donates 5% of net profits from Unlocked products to the NhRP’s efforts of securing fundamental rights for animals. AMBIENT LIGHTING EDIT PALETTES

The Dragon palette, which represents supernatural power, wisdom, and strength, includes the Divine Light Finishing Powder, the Peach Fusion blush, the Mauve Haze blush, the Soft Bronze bronzer, and the Sunlit Strobe Light highlighter.

The Evil Eye palette, which signifies protection and intuition, features the Pink Fusion blush, the Oasis Glow blush, the Vibrant Coral blush, the Natural Bronze bronzer, and the Rose Gold Strobe Light highlighter.

The palettes can be beautifully paired with the limited-edition Veil Travel Powder Brush featuring the Evil Eye and Dragon designs.
