Yoga Movement Expands to Hong Kong, Revolutionising the City’s Fitness Scene

Focus on Making Yoga Accessible to Everyone

Yoga Movement — the Singapore-born fitness-lifestyle phenomenon that blends yoga, community, and, above all, accessibility — is set to transform Hong Kong’s fitness landscape this August. With 10 stunning studio properties and a thriving digital platform, the leading lifestyle brand has captivated the Singapore market for the past 12 years. Now, Hong Kong residents will be the first outside the city-state to experience Yoga Movement’s accessible and innovative approach to fitness-focused yoga in a stunning 4,000 sq. ft. lifestyle hub at H Queen’s in the heart of Central.

Classes at Yoga Movement are taught differently. Designed to be spiritually agnostic and fitness-focused, every class is open to everyone at any levels, challenging those who are more experienced while being beginner-friendly for those new to practising yoga. Each class enables members to focus on their own unique goals, whether they want to unwind and reset mentally, get their heart rate up and sweat, or improve technically. Yoga Movement’s inaugural Hong Kong location will offer seven class types, with non-hot and hot options:

Basics: Focusing on proper alignment as the foundation for a strong, sustainable yoga practice, this slower-paced class employs blocks and longer holds to build strength and flexibility, while providing cues to improve your body awareness and sharpen your form.

Slow Flow: A Newbie-friendly class designed to address stiff muscles and provide a thorough stretch through a series of foundational yoga postures, Slow Flow emphasises connecting breath to movement in a slow-paced sequence, aiming to improve alignment, build flexibility, and increase mobility.

Power Flow: This more challenging class type immerses you in a dynamic state of flow, guiding you through a series of poses at a steady pace to develop full-body strength, flexibility, fluidity, and stamina.

Resistance: Featuring the addition of 1 lb ankle and wrist weights, this slow, core-centric workout is designed to fire up your abs, tone your limbs and condition your body. The class concludes with a weightless Float segment that strips off your weights, allowing you to revisit the poses with newfound ease.

HIIT Yoga: Combining yoga, high-intensity interval training, and stretching in three distinct segments, this kickass 60-minute class delivers a comprehensive workout that targets strength, cardio, and flexibility.

Zen: With longer, deeper stretches to release tension and blocks, straps, and breathwork to improve mobility and flexibility, this slow-paced class is your invitation to take a much-needed chill pill.

Hot Method: This 60-minute class features a fixed sequence of 26 postures performed in a heated room, making it easy to track progress over time. The carefully designed routine focuses on balance, lower-body strength, and spine flexibility, with the unique feature of excluding any weight-bearing poses on the wrists.

Classes will be offered in a range of Class Packs and All Access Passes, as well as a Drop-In rate of HK$300 Interested customers can also opt for Solo Packs of 5, 10, 20, and 30 classes range from HK$1,390 to HK$5,290 while Share Packs of 25 and 50 classes are available for HK$5,290 and HK$8,990. To celebrate the launch of its first studio in Hong Kong, Yoga Movement is also offering an exclusive pre-launch promotion from Aug 1 – upon any purchase of the 5 Class Pack, customers will receive 1 extra free class, and a HKD$500 lululemon Gift Card — the perfect start to the YM Life.
